 About the Performance

Meeting on the Balcony:Shan Bo learns from his teacher's wife that Zhu Ying Tai is a woman, and travels happily to the Zhu family home. However, Ying Tai has already been promised to Ma Wencai, son of Governor Ma. After going to the Zhu family home, Shan Bo meets with Ying Tai on the balcony. Ying Tai tells Shan Bo the truth, causing Shan Bo to be utterly shocked and aggrieved.

Twelve Courses:When an official pays a visit, two charming family servants – Ren-hsin and Elder Brother Antong – entertain him. Ren-hsin prepares a twelve-course meal especially for the official, serving them in the gezai opera style. Merely by trying the food, Elder Brother Antong can tell that there are profound feelings between the two.

Wukong Borrows a Fan:Itinerant monk Tripitaka comes across a range of fiery volcanos and is unable to proceed. Exploring his environs, he knows there is a palm-leaf fan in Bajiao cave that can extinguish the volcanic flames. Princess Iron Fan, the master of the cave and the Ox Demon King's wife, was acquainted with Sun Wukong in the past, so the Monkey King goes in to borrow the fan. After a series of twists and turns with one climax after another, they extinguish the flames and cross the mountain.
