 About the Event

The physical postures and martial arts sequences within Chinese opera movements commonly form the basis of a performing artist's style of physical training. This semester's Practice Room has invited veteran dancer Chiu I-wen from Cloud Gate. Based on dance, the class combines the gestures and pace of Chinese opera with physical maintenance and breathing practices of Tai Chi Dao Yin. Calming and relaxing, this class will guide students into experiencing the rhythms of harmony between mind and body.
Each class takes 60 minutes including 4 parts:
   1. Relaxing and stretching body
   2. Static movements practing
   3. Movement Dynamic and free flow practice
   4. Breath control and qi guiding practice
