由於家庭因素自幼即耳濡目染接觸錫工藝，大學期間寒暑假也在家族開設的「萬能錫鋪」擔任助手。民國109-112年擔任「重要傳統工藝錫工藝-陳萬能傳習計畫」藝生，並於113年結業。
Chen was immersed in tin craft from an young age due to his family. During summer and winter vacations in college, Chen worked as an assistant in the family business, Wan-Neng Tin Shop. He was a student in the Traditional Tin Craft - Chen Wan-Neng successor program from 2018 to 2023 and completed his studies in 2024.
