Note:
Patron deities are guardian deities worhsipped by members of a profession to safeguard their personal interests or those of peers. These deities, known as “founders,” are usually associated with the characteristics of their corresponding professions. The belief in patron deities not only unites the members of a profession but also bestows divine support to further the prosperity and development of a profession.
