| The Uni-President Yi-Lan Art & Culture Corporation
was founded by Uni-president enterprises corporation and Lanyang arts
foundation. In October 2003, they started working on the idea of establishing a
national center for traditional arts, and on July 11, 2004 they started a two
month trial. On September 28, 2004, the corporation was authorized by the
Council for Cultural Affairs of the Executive Yuan to manage the Folk Arts
Park. This was also the first attempt that Uni-President made to promote and
develop art and cultural businesses through creative marketing. The
Uni-President Yi-Lan Art & Culture Corporation hopes to gather resources
from different organizations to bring greater profit to artistic and cultural
businesses, to help develop and pass on our traditional arts and to improve the
overall level of culture in Taiwan. |
